Coming This Summer

Fight Like a Warrior (FLAW) is excited to launch the FLAW Warrior Mentor Academy, a mentorship training program designed to equip compassionate individuals to support those navigating the cancer journey.

At FLAW, we believe that no one should have to face cancer alone.

The FLAW Warrior Mentor Academy will prepare volunteer mentors to provide encouragement, emotional support, and hope to individuals and caregivers facing cancer.

Participants will receive training in:

• Communication and active listening
• Emotional intelligence
• Healthy mentorship boundaries
• Understanding the cancer journey
• Recognizing when professional support may be needed
• Real-life mentorship role-playing scenarios

Mentors who complete the training will become:

Certified FLAW Warrior Mentors

Cohort 1 – Founding Mentors

Throughout the year, mentors will also have opportunities for:

• Continuing education
• Mentor meet-ups
• Leadership development
• Community support

We are currently preparing for our first training session this summer.
